Wildlife does not appear in your garden by accident. Consider these examples: If you have tubular-flowered plants, like azure sage, you will attract desirable butterflies. If you don't, you most likely won't. If you have plants with plenty of nectar-rich flowers, like gums, camellias & grevilleas, you'll attract honeyeaters & other nectar-feeding birds. If you don't, you most likely won't. If you have scented-flowering plants like gardenias, you'll attract nocturnal insects like moths. If you don't, you most likely won't. If you have small piles of thick material, like timber for geckos or skinks to hide under, you'll attract them. If you don't, you most likely won't. Even the presence of pine trees with their pine-nuts, can attract the noted yellow-tailed black cockatoo.

Clay Fields Hort can assist you with plant selection & choice of other items/materials, to attract various wildlife to your garden. The provision of habitat for wildlife will ultimately & undoubtedly liven up your garden.

I can also advise on what is needed in your garden to deter or make it more challenging for creatures you may not want.
